Ontario Safety Inspections
In Ontario, vehicles must maintain a certain level of safety standards in order to ensure the safety of both themselves and their fellow drivers. A regular safety inspection by a certified auto center is a great way to keep vehicles operating well, and keeping our roadways safe.
We provide Safety Inspections to Oshawa, Whitby, Courtice, Ajax, Pickering, and surrounding areas
What Gets Checked During a ON Safety Inspection?
Passenger cars and light trucks require safety inspection technicians to check the following:
Vehicles either pass or fail the inspection on site, and the outcome is based solely on the condition of the vehicle at present. In the event of a failed inspection, you can repair whatever part failed, and retake the inspection until the vehicle passes.
The Ontario Passenger / Light-Duty Vehicle Inspection Standard: Reference Handbook states
“A pass or fail outcome of a vehicle inspection is based on the condition of the vehicle at the time of the inspection. The determination does not involve a prediction about a vehicle’s condition in the future.”
